In order to jointly enhance the overall level of service capabilities, Tianjin Maritime Court and Law School of Tianjin University, Law School of Nankai University and Law School of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics respectively held a signing ceremony at the Maritime Court and Nankai University to sign a cooperation and joint construction agreement to seek the integration of legal theory and judicial practice on July 4th.

Together, the Court and the Law schools will explore the objective laws of the overall situation of judicial work and legal research services in the new era and focus on strengthening the study of the laws governing the overall service of the people's courts, and provide academic assistance and theoretical guidance for national strategies such as the Collaborative Development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, and the development of innovation in Tianjin.

The signing of this contract with the law schools of the three universities is an important measure for the Tianjin Maritime Court to find out the shortcoming in the theme education of "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind" and strive to improve the ability of maritime judicial services. The Tianjin Maritime Court, as a specialized court for maritime and maritime business and maritime administrative cases, has tried a large number of cases closely related to national and local development such as the Collaborative Development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province in recent years, and has played an effective role in safeguarding judicial services in related fields. However, in the theme education of " Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind ", the party group of the Tianjin Maritime Court, through study and investigation, found out the gaps, and deeply realized that the maritime court serves the country's overall situation and Tianjin's high-quality development work is still limited to practice and individual responses. It is necessary to make use of the higher academic level of higher education and integrate with the maritime judicial practice to carry out theoretical research that can guide practice, be leading, systematic, targeted and long-term sustainable, so as to promote the overall service work of the Tianjin maritime court to a higher level.

The cooperation agreement defines the purpose and modalities of cooperation. Maritime courts and colleges and universities will jointly carry out theoretical research on maritime affairs, maritime business entity laws, maritime litigation special procedures and other procedural laws, international treaties and other fields, difficult issues, difficult issues in maritime trial practice, and typical cases to create theoretical results. The focus is on cooperation in areas such as how to ensure coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Sea, the Belt and Road Initiative, comprehensive management of pollution in the Bohai Sea, and the creation of a good business environment to safeguard Tianjin's innovative development, how to protect national maritime rights and interests, and how to deal with international trade frictions.

Tianjin University is the first modern university in China. It has a deep foundation in law education and rich academic achievements. It has established a research institution related to the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Nankai University is one of the "Northern Schools". The comprehensive strength of the law school is strong, and the research field is extensive. Tianjin University of Finance and Economics is an important base for training senior economic management talents in northern China. It has made great achievements in the research of business environment and diversified dispute resolution mechanism. After the signing of the agreement, the Tianjin Maritime Court will strengthen its cooperation with the three universities in the fields of research, personnel training, theoretical research, and academic exchanges. Through institutional cooperation, it will strengthen academic support and enhance the level of maritime judicial capabilities. In order to ensure the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other national strategies and local innovation development in Tianjin, we need to find the right entry point, joint point and focus, and effectively improve the level of maritime judicial Service protection.
