On December 10th, the unveiling ceremony of Xiongan New Area Circuit Trial Site of Tianjin Maritime Court was held in the People's Court of Anxin County, Hebei Province.
Tianjin Maritime Court is a specialized court that tries maritime disputes and maritime administrative cases. Its jurisdiction area widely spread from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to many inland dry ports in North and North-west China and has set up sixteen Circuit Trial Sites in order to provide better judicial service in its specialized judicial area. The set-up of the Circuit Trial sites has grealty facilitated litigation for people and effectively promoting local settlement of maritime disputes. Xiongan New Area has developed rapidly in the past two years. In light of the development of foreign trade and shipping industry and the construction of an inland dry port in Xiongan New Area and in order to respond positively to the local maritime judicial demand, Tianjin Maritime Court decided to set up a Circuit Trial Site in Xiongan New Area with the great support of Xiongan New Area Intermediate People's Court and Anxin County People's Court.
Shi Fuxin, Vice President and member of the Party Group Tianjin Maritime Court, Zhang Xiaomei, Vice President and member of the Party Group of Xiongan New Area Intermediate People's Court and Shang Wenfang, President and Secretary of the party group of Anxin County People's Court attended the unveiling ceremony and each gave a speech. Shang Wenfang expressed her welcome to the establishment of the Circuit Trial Site and promised to support the smooth operation of the Circuit Trial Site. Zhang Xiaomei said the establishment of Xiongan Circuit Trial Site would help promote the resolution of maritime disputes in Xiongan New Area, further enhance the level of judicial cooperation among Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province and provide better and more efficient judicial services for the Collaborative Development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province. Shi Fuxin stressed that the establishment of Xiongan Circuit Trial Site was not only an important achievement of courts of Tianjin and Hebei to carry out judicial cooperation remaining true to their original aspiration and mission in the implementation of the Collaborative Development Strategy of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, but also the exploration practice of the judicial organs to participate in the social governance and the construction of a socialist country ruled by law in the new era. The courts of the two places would continue to deepen judicial cooperation, give full play to their functions, and provide a strong judicial guarantee for the construction of Xiongan New Area.
