Leaders of Tianjin Maritime Court Went to Tianjin Maritime Bureau for Investigation

   On December 18th, Li Xiujie, Secretary of the Leading Party Group and President of Tianjin Maritime Court, led a team to Tianjin Maritime Bureau to listen to opinions and suggestions, discuss cooperation and exchange ideas for work of next year. Shi Fuxin, member of the Leading Party Group and Vice-president, accompanied. Li Guoxiang, Secretary of the Leading Party Group of Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration, Cheng Junkang, deputy director of the Bureau, and other comrades in charge of the relevant departments held discussions and exchanges with the Team.

      Li Xiujie introduced the trial work of the Court in 2019, in particular serving the Integrated Management and administrative trial work of Bohai Sea. Secretary Li Guoxiang introduced the institutional functions of the Bureau, ship management, pollution prevention and control and the promotion of marine environmental legislation in Tianjin. Li also spoke highly of the active role Tianjin Maritime Court had played in handling maritime disputes fairly and efficiently in recent years. He expressed welcome to the Court to strengthen administrative trial and promote administration according to law. The two sides also discussed issues relating to the prevention and control of pollution from ships, determination of maritime liability and judicial arrest of ships and agreed to further implement the collaboration mechanism set up in 2018 to maintain the order of shipping and jointly contribute to the Bohai Sea Integrated Management.

      Li Xiujie pointed out that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed to promote the modernization of the social governance system and governance capacity. Tianjin Maritime Court should push forward the modernization of judicial capacity and system and at the same time make coordination with the sea-related administrative units. Tianjin Maritime Court would strive to enhance the synergy effect of trial work in social governance and make greater contributions to the development of Tianjin's maritime-related economy and the Bohai Sea Integrated Management.
