In August 2007, I graduated from Dalian Maritime University as a postgraduate majoring in maritime law. With a longing for the cause of maritime justice, I worked in the court for 14 years and engaged in judicial work for 10 years. I grew from a court clerk to a senior judge, which is inseparable from the training of the organization and the care and support of the leaders and comrades.

At the beginning of my work, I went on a business trip to arrest ships in other places with the then deputy chief judge in response to the crew's application for wages. This still remains fresh in my memory and my thoughts are deeply touched. So far, I still encourage myself to complete my own work with this. At that time, we arrived at our destination at 2 a.m. the next day after a long journey. When we thought we could rest immediately, he had put on his law enforcement uniform and said to me in an indisputable tone, "Now let's go to the ship to deliver the seizure documents. If we don't go now, it won't be so easy to find it next time after the ship has unloaded and leaves the port. What about the crew's salary?" At that moment, I saw "perseverance" in his eyes. I struggled to get up and rushed to the ship with him. On the way, he taught me the process of detaining the ship in detail and told me to pay attention to safety when climbing the rope ladder. It was four o'clock in the morning when we got off the ship after we completed the seizure procedures and a series of work. No external vehicles were allowed to enter the port, but we had to walk in and out. When we came out of the port to the gate, the first ray of sunshine in the morning shined on us. The hawking of a hard-working breakfast stall owner spread in our ear. "let's go to have breakfast!" At that moment, I saw “satisfaction” in his eyes. Since then, the seed of “justice for the people” has been deeply rooted in my heart. The indictments and applications of the people are our “clarion calls”, and the mallet is our “Sword” to achieve fairness and justice.

General secretary Xi Jinping said in his “July 1” speech, “Chinese youth in the new era should take the responsibility of realizing the great rejuvenation of China as a mission to enhance the ambition, backbone and confidence of the Chinese people, liver up to the times, prime of youth and ardent expectations of the party and people. After summarizing the work of many years, I get the core experience: the personal achievements are inseparable from the training of the organization and the support and help of team comrades; Only by “integrating the individual into the collective”, we can realize our life ideal. For a long time, I have always been actively engaged in all kinds of work in the court based on this concept. In 2013, I was honored with the personal third-class merit of the municipal court system, was rated as an advanced individual in the theoretical discussion of judicial standardization by the Municipal High Court in 2015, evaluated as “advanced model for responsibility and achievement” by politics and law committee of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China in 2018, awarded the “May Day Labor Medal” by Tianjin Federation of Trade Unions in 2019, and rated as “political and legal police officers satisfying the people” by the Political and Legal Committee of Tianjin Municipal Party committee of the Communist Party of China in 2020 and commended as “national advanced individual in maritime trial” by the Supreme People's court in 2021.

Integrate the individual into the collective to realize the life ideals

The leading party group of the court sent me to work in Caofeidian trial court twice. I resolutely obeyed and made due achievements on my own post. When I first went to the court, it was not long after I assumed as an assistant judge. At that time, I thought that Party group of the court could put me, a green hand of trial, at such an important post. This was the greatest trust to me. How could I drop the ball at the last minute? As a party member, I have to shoulder the heavy burden bravely in the face of urgent, difficult, dangerous and heavy tasks, bear hardships first and enjoy later. In the past two years, I cooperated with the person in charge of the court fully, and paid close attention to the filing, review and trial of cases; At the same time, I set an example and lead the clerk to work together; there is no distinction in work and I supplement the position in time. In order to properly handle all kinds of cases and receive parties from other places, it is normal to work overtime until 9 or 10 o'clock in the evening. It is even more common to arrest ships in the middle of the night and on Saturday and Sunday. In my work, I always take fair justice, justice for the people, safeguarding people's rights and interests, and trying to resolve social contradictions as the value pursuit of judging cases. In handling cases, I consider public spirit, understand the difficulties of the parties, adopt trans-positional thinking and take solving the practical problems of the parties as the starting point of handling cases. Nine years later, when I came to the court again, I have become the first batch of judge with specified number after judicial reform. Affected by the epidemic situation and other work arrangements in the court, my actual working time in the court is less than that of other comrades, but I have always worked with comrades in the court and think together, and successfully completed the trial of many difficult and complex cases. Especially the conclusion of a dispute case over a complex sea related construction contract with a target amount of 1.4 billion Yuan was recognized by the parties. I will continue to work hard with comrades in the court to serve as a bridgehead and judicial tentacle for the strategy of “coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei”.

The general secretary Xi Jinping issued a call to the whole party in his July 1 speech, “bear the initial intention and mission in mind, firm the ideal and faith, practice the party's purpose, always maintain the flesh and blood ties with the masses, always work together with the people, think of the people and share the same fate and share hardships.” During the epidemic, according to the requirements of the municipal Party committee and the leading Party group of the court to make the cadres work in community, I went to the community to perform the duty for epidemic prevention and consciously overcame the difficulties of sleepy night and long time and stuck to early arrival and late departure for the purpose of staying on duty. In strict accordance with the work arrangements and requirements of the streets and communities, I completed duty for epidemic prevention with high quality, served as the qualified “night watchman” of the community and made the party flag fly high in the front line of the battle for epidemic prevention and control. My work obtained the understanding and affirmation of community resident and was in close contact with the mass. This precious spiritual wealth gives me the strength to move forward when I return to my job. Because of my excellent performance in the epidemic prevention, the community reported to evaluate me as the Eighth Civilized Family of Hexi District and the Most Beautiful Family of Tianjin in 2020.

The Trial Standards for Ship Collision Cases of Tianjin Court I drafted became the first standardized document for the trial of maritime cases in China; I Participated in the compilation of Practical Course on Standardization of People's Courts and Theory and Practice of Judicial Standardization, with a total of more than 60,000 words, which has become a training materials for judges in the whole city; The dispute cases of freight forwarding contract about the transportation of dangerous goods on board were selected into the top 12 typical cases of “carrying forward the socialist core values” in Tianjin. During the theme education of “never forget the original heart and remember the mission”, when making a visit to COSCO marine crew management Co., Ltd, an investigation report was formed on the problems existing in the crew service contract and a judicial suggestion was served, the suggestion was rated as one of the top ten excellent judicial suggestions in Tianjin.

I always adhere to the motto of "do more than others" to do the work in the court carefully. Be an actor who starts and acts, not a talker who sits and talks. Be a fighter against difficulties and not a clay figure fearing of wind and rain. “Do more than others” will make me do the service work to the best. During the trial of cases, we often encounter the situation that the plaintiff lists only one industrial and commercial registration address of the defendant in the indictment. I always adhere to the principle that even if the service made by law according to the defendant's industrial and commercial registration address is returned, under the condition it complies with the service condition, I will look over all the existing documentary evidences and industrial and commercial registration materials or even search the employment information of the unit on Baidu so as to get contact information of the defendant and get in touch with it and ensure that the defendant's litigation rights are fully guaranteed. With the principle “Do more than others”, I will handle the cases which the parties can seek oversea arbitration after security prelitigation as domestic trial cases to try my best to urge the parties to form a consensus and finally reach a mediation, so as to save high arbitration fees for the parties. Both domestic and foreign parties praised the work of the court, and the foreign parties contacted the Legal Daily to publish an article “The Dispute Over Foreign Lease Test the Wisdom of Judges” to express their affirmation. Following “Do more than others", I will handle the case with objection for the enforcement as case of enforcement and reconciliation. By mediating and persuading the objector and the execution applicant, we concluded the dispute cases over compensation for personal injury pending for many years. Adhering to “Do more than others", I will mobilize people around me to check the evidence, each data in the judgement document to ensure accuracy of the judgment. "Do more than others", I will establish Wechat groups for communication and exchange of various cases, unblock the communication channels between the parties and parties, and parties and the court so as to enhance the openness and transparency of the case trial.

Thanks to the willing to take advice from judges during the work as a clerk and accumulation of mass work and trial work during the front-line trial work, I can hold the mallet more steadily. I will continue to devote myself to the sacred maritime judicial work with fuller enthusiasm, continue to make unremitting efforts to realize the people's yearning for a better life, strive for greater glory for the party and the people, work hard and forge ahead.
